I was worried that the back of the tv set would be too steep, however the adjustable legs made it possible to fit it properly. For those who may be worried the same, you can measured from the front of the TV back by 12 inches, and down by just over 11 inches. If this will reach the back of your tv, then it will likely work no problem. There are two slots closer to the front to put the legs closer than 12 inches from the fron of the tv, however, I don't know that I would trust supporting the weight like this. The manual says that it will hold up to 30 lbs, and my center which is a healthy 27 lbs, held with no problem whatsoever. 19 of 19 people found the following review helpful: Really Nice, Sturdy, Television Top Shelf, By - This is essentially a large perforated steel trapezoidal plate. At its front, it's about 19" wide. This width tapers smoothly down to about 15" at the rear. From front to back, it's about 15.5" deep. - There are two sets of leg mounts: one set is about 11" back from the front and the other is about 8" back. - According to the documentation, it's got a maximum capacity of 30 lbs. - Depending on the steepness and depth of the back of your television set, you can use one of three sets of mounting legs. It comes with the feet screwed onto the shortest legs (about 3/4" long plus the length of the foot mounting rods)... I found the thicker black plastic ones to be very unattractive and cheesy for my new 60" TV. However, when came upon the Omnimount and its very thin, about 1/16" sleak design I knew this is what I wanted. So again I went out and read other reviews on this product. This was very helpful as I found that many people were "dis-satisfied" because they thought parts were missing on shipment which was not true! I found that the factory assembles all of the small loose pieces together in the box. When you open the box you "must" note that their assembly configuration was for shipping and you are not looking at a complete product ready to use. You must first "read" and "LOOK" at the instructions pictures and then you will see how to take apart a few small pieces and reassemble as needed for your paticular TV. Many people thought the front pins that hold the TV shelf to the front top of the... Read more |
