I just bought an outdoor antennae. I put the card in amd no problems. I downloaded the software with no problems. I do not like the WinTV software-(buggy.) However, the great news is the remote they ship with this works super with Windows Media Center. I can sit in bed, push the little green button at the top of the remote and it launches Media Center and all the contorls are there--pause, skip back, skip forward. Media Center remotes are $20 bucks alone. The card picked up all of the ATSC over the Air Channels and Windows Media Center with the ready-to-go guide made recording super easy. Media Center even links to my other Media Center computer (downstairs) and lets me share recorded shows. I am sooo-happy to tell the cable company, "Good-bye!"PS. I go to the Colbert Report.com and Smithonian.com to get my "cable-only-TV-show fix." 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: Many features and value for the price, By Razornoodle "Razornoodle" (Missouri, USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Hauppauge 1288 WinTV-HVR-1150 PCI Hybrid High Definition TV Tuner Card (Personal Computers) An excellent pci tuner card. You insert the card; install the drivers and WinTV software. A big reason I purchased this card is it has a separate FM\cable\Satellite connection in addition to the digital HD antenna connection. I have a good, long range, outdoor Phillips HD antenna mounted on my apartment balcony and cabled to this card along with a second Hauppauge usb tuner (off a splitter). I can record two channels at once or record one and watch another at the same time. Next I have a FM radio antenna and, the card with media center acts like a digital DJ for playing and recording FM broadcasts. Windows Media Center finds and sets up the signal for both cards and, with a DSL connection will automatically set up your digital TV guide for your area code which you can configure to automatically update, once a week or whenever. The same applies to cable or satellite. All you do is surf the guide, click what you want to watch or record, recordings are automatically saved to your hard... Installation is easy and straightforward and the Tunner works like a charm inside Media Center. Now for the Drawbacks, I'm not sure if it's the computer or the Tunner fault but standard analog cable TV looks washed out, also the Remote will not work out of the box on Media Center, it does come with a IR blaster but is not USB, it connects directly on the Tunner, and you have to install some drivers for it, once the drivers are installed it WILL work on media center but with a little delay, you push the button on the remote and 1 second latter the action will take place, that delay takes some getting used to and some buttons on the remote will not perform the intended action in Media Center (most likely in the bundled software will work but I have not installed it), for...
