13 of 14 people found the following review helpful Great all around printer, November 30, 2008 I picked up my HP Laserjet 2100 at a flea market for $5.00 around 2001 or so and it has served me well ever since, including the toner cartridge. I was able to find a post script level 2 personality chip for the printer used for $8 including shipping, so it can serve my mac printing as well. Since the printer includes an ethernet print server by default it makes an excellent home, small office or department printer. The printer is rated at 10 ppm and delivers well, especially for text only documents. It handles graphics, spreadsheets, charts and I have never run into a problem with fonts. Printing in PS is slightly slower than pcl 6 which is the native print engine. Using the built in networking I am able to print from any computer in my house and am able to keep the printer in the basement and out of the way. It has a web interface and a telnet interface for managing the printer and checking the status of the printer remotely. It's 1200x1200 print resolution provides very high... It did not have a USB port, therefore I had to buy a parallel to USB conversion cable in order to use the printer. Otherwise the printer works great. The return costs plus the correct printer are more than I want to pay. This companny comes accross as a flim flam outfit.
