So light you barely know you've got one on. The brim is just rigid enough to keep it from flopping (so it doesn't turn into a bucket hat), but still flexible enough to fold and cram. Six rows of stitching around the brim help to ensure it maintains those attributes. Now the caution. The hat does come with an adjustable draw string for sizing, but the overall size runs big. I'm a 7 3/8 and was swimming inside my normal Large.
